might sound silly or "heretic" but you could add one of those plugins a couple of times to resemble the look of some film you like, and then try to work on that. not saying you should work with the plugins all the time, but it could be a starting point. just a thought. I was never good at managing colour in digital files.
and I think you got it right showing a deserted Tokyo. At least I thought it's 28 days later or something.

@stelios I'd like to edit my photographs so, that white appears white. Currently it's rather so that I edit them, think they're ok, and when I look at them later I think they have a color cast. Second thing I want to achieve is consistency between the photographs, i.e. the sky should have the same color in the photographs, or the shadows the same color cast etc. I'm seldomly satisfied, but if I waited till I was I couldn't post anything. And doing all in b/w isn't a solution either.

The weather was overcast and hot, around 25 - 30 degrees celsius. Think it added to the air pollution that you already have in Tokyo - think you can see a bit of it in the two photos showing the city that I've taken from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building.

There were many people in Tokyo, but I thought I'll group the photos in the posts by their visual similarities, so I just went for buildings and streets in this one, even threw out some which seemed to busy to work with the photos posted here. The title references a book I bought on my last visit, Tokyo Nobody by Masataka Nakano, which consists of a series of photographs that show the usually crowded places and streets of Tokyo totally deserted. Took me a while to find out how he had done that :D So in that sense, if seems the selection has worked ;)

@Seb As in the comment above, you see the idea is not mine, but I do like the idea too, it's puzzling to see a city of some 36 million people so empty. Next post will be some "street", at least it'll feature some people, most of them sleeping though :p Glad you like it, and I guess the colors will do for the moment ;)

cool stuff.
I don't see anythin wrong with the colours, although I have no idea what sort of "colours" you are after.
the sun doesn't seem quite exciting in Tokyo. too much pollution? and too little people. where is everyone?
